Upon my arrival I performed a heat evaluation on the furnace system. Found that everything is operating properly at this time. During the evaluation I found the indoor air movement system dirty. I let the customer know about this and went over the age of the system as well. She is going to talk with her son to see if he thinks it’s time to update the equipment or not. While I was in the attic I did notice that the water heater was leaking. I informed the customer of this and she is going to get someone to come out and look at it.

Upon my arrival in Bastrop I performed a heat evaluation on the heat pump system. I found that the indoor air movement system is dirty and the return plenum needs to be secured and resealed. Customer has been having renovations done on the home and had another company move some ducts around. Since they messed with the return plenum he will be having them come back out and fix it. I spoke with the customer about cleaning recommendations and he would like the options emailed over. Found everything else operating properly at this time.
Today I arrived in Bastrop. I completed the evaluation today of both ductless systems. I verified the performance of them and that they are safely operating. I cleaned off indoor air filters and flushed indoor water removal systems today. I also washed outdoor units using water at this time. Both systems are working well, I did speak with the customer about the main cabin being dirty, they would like to have it cleaned in the spring time. Upon departure left main cabin set to 73 in heat and guest cabin set to 72 in heat.

Today I arrived in Bastrop, I verified concern and found that the thermostats were on and calling for cool however unit was off. I investigated zone board and system, I found blown fuse at the indoor unit. I began testing continuity inside and found zone 1 thermostat holding 6.0 ohms of resistance across the terminals. I then verified outdoor electronics are proper, I spoke with customer about the repair needed, with approval I replaced the comfort control system and tested system entirely. Upon departure system is cooling, zone 1 set for 70, zone 2 set for 68. Currently zone 1 is reading 76 indoor temp and zone 2 reading 74.
Upon my arrival in Bastrop, I performed a heat evaluation on the heat pump system. During the evaluation I found that the system is low on refrigerant. I spoke with the customer and recommended a leak search. They did not go with it at this time. I also went over the age of the equipment and how they could benefit from upgrading the equipment with something newer and more efficient. Customer would like to talk to her husband before having a comfort specialist come out. I left my card for them to call if they would like to move forward with a quote.
Upon my arrival in Bastrop, I spoke with the customer about his concerns on the smell they had coming from the system. I then put the system into cooling mode and had the customer tell if he smelled it or not. I then placed the emergency heat strips on and had the customer let me know if that was the smell and it was the smell he was smelling. I explained to him how this is normal on his system when they come on for the first time. I also went over how their thermostat operates and what its different functions were.
Today Rodrigo and I arrived and met with the customer and his wife. We went over the homes hvac system and completed the fall evaluation today. We began by verifying system is safe during operation, then we verified system is performing very well. While onsite today we cleaned the flame safety system and we flushed the water removal system. Upon departure left system operating in cooling mode set to 73 currently 75 inside.

Spoke to customer about Reme halo and he did not want to view any options at this time. He has a friend that works HVAC and would like to talk to him first.
Upon my arrival in Bastrop, I spoke with the customer about his concerns on the air movement system running continuously. I found that one of the roll out switches had tripped flashing error code 33. I reset the roll out switch and tested the system. I made adjustments to the gas pressures and the CFMs due to the temperature split being a little high. Continued testing the system and the roll out switch would not trip again. I advised the customer to keep and eye on it and if it is to happen again to give us a call. This was all covered under the install warranty. I also spoke with the customer about our maintenance program.
Upon arrival in Bastrop, the customer gave me access to the home via garage. I found that the thermostat wasn’t getting power. I found the flood safety systems faulted and not allowing power through, no active clog. With payment and approval, I then replaced both flood safety’s and replaced the wiring for them as well. I tested them and verified they are operational. Left system to 68 in heating mode per homeowner. Currently 67 degrees inside upon departure heating is on.
Today I arrived in Bastrop. I completed the heating evaluation today. I verified system performance and that it’s safely operating in heating mode. I washed the outdoor system using water today and I treated and flushed the indoor water removal system while inside attic. I spoke with customer about the filters and sent them photos of the part numbers and they will be ordering them. Upon departure left system in heating mode set to 68 currently 68 inside.
Today I arrived in Bastrop, I spoke with the customer via phone call prior to arrival. Concern of the gas furnace having a gas smell or a gas scent linger at beginning of operation. I went over the unit and completed the heating evaluation of it today, I verified the system performance and I also verified its safety. While checking safety I did notice the exhaust piping was not secure on the housing causing a c.o leak, I corrected the piping position and now there is zero c.o detected. I also certified no c.o detected within home while operating. I cleaned the flame safety system while on site and I verified system has adequate gas pressure. Customer has agreed and would like to have a price of replacement now.

Durning the evaluation I found that the indoor air movement system is dirty, the refrigerant pressure control is faulted stacking up refrigerant and the defrost control is not allowing the system to go into defrost. I spoke with the customer about their different options for repair and also went over the age of the system. Customer would like to have the repairs emailed over so the they can look at them a little better and decide wether or not they want to have a repair performed on the system or have a comfort specialist come out to quote a system replacement. They don’t want the comfort specialist just yet so I will ask about it when I do the follow up next week.

Today I completed the hvac evaluation of both systems in customers home. During evaluation I flushed and treated both indoor water removal systems, I also washed the outside units using water. During evaluation I verified auxiliary heating systems are operating properly and they are safe. Upon departure I left the Lennox system set to 71 heat currently 73, and the carrier system set to 73 heat currently 73.
Today I completed the evaluation for the customers rental home. Gas system, I completely tested the combustion system and verified gas pressure and verified it’s safely operating with zero c.o detected during operation. I cleaned off the flame safety system while onsite today. Upon departure I left system operating in heating mode set for 70 currently 70 inside.
Today I arrived and met with Dan the homeowner, I completed the fall evaluation today of the homes hvac system. I verified the auxiliary heating system is safely operating, I flushed and treated the indoor water removal system, I also washed the outdoor system using water at this time. I recommended having the air circulation system cleaned and the ducting resealed on the system. Went over options and agreed to email over so they can consider the options. Upon departure left system in auto mode heat set to 67 currently 67 inside.
Upon arrival I met with Mrs Halton, customer explained concerns of the TV room (the one with the new Wall Mount) wasn’t heating as the others were and that it didn’t push enough air. While investigating concern it was apparently noticeable other 2 indoor wall mount units were blowing fast, I checked remote settings and found tv room set to 80% fan speed, I turned up to 100%. At this time system went into defrost, I have explained defrost functions to customer and explained what happens at that time and why it changes automatically. During that time we witnessed it come out of defrost and then begin to heat again. Customer was still concerned that it doesn’t heat the room as well, I explained to her that she may want to turn it up from 80, to maybe 82. I also explained these smart systems will operate at variable speeds based on room temperature and the demand of the room. I tested and verified system performance and that it’s safely operating in gas heating with zero c.o detected. I cleaned the flame safety system today while onsite, system is operating flawlessly with zero concerns. Upon departure left both up and downstairs in auto mode as they were found currently 72 both up and downstairs.
