Upon my arrival I performed a heat evaluation on the heat pump system. Found that everything is operating within manufacture specifications at this time. Spoke with the customer about Reme halo and it’s not something they are interested in.
Upon my arrival I spoke with the customer about the concerns he had with the blower not coming on with the furnace. I performed a diagnostics by pulling static pressure across the return and the heat exchanger then the return and the coil. I found that with the speed setting the air movement system is set to the unit is getting the proper amount of air flow. I also checked the pressures, temperature rise, safeties and the amps. Found that everything is operating within manufacturer specifications at this time. Customers concern was that they didn’t really feel air flow coming from the vents but the system was maintaining the 71° set point that desire. I explained to the customer about the how the system calls for a higher demand of airflow in the cooling vs the heating. I also went over how we upgraded the size of his return plenum and that his old system had a PSC motor and the new one has an ECM motor so they are going to operate and perform differently. I then spoke with the custome
Today I arrived and met with James. James has multiple Radon detectors within the home and they are alarming high levels of Radon and CO2. Customer has been doing research on ERV’s, and would like to receive quotes. I investigated customers attic space, I found ample space and room for installations. After multiple conversations I’ve found a good range in what customer would like to have installed. I’m going to be creating different estimates based on fully dedicated ERV with Reme’s, carrier and fan tech, partially dedicated ERV carrier or fan tech with and without Reme, and I’m also going to create another option to have a standard fresh air intake with Reme. Will call customer Monday with different price points to reflect customers desirable achievements.
Performed the heating evaluation in Lockhart and found everything operating properly at this time.
Upon our arrival in Lockhart we spoke with the customer about the repair that is being performed today. We then recovered all the refrigerant, removed the faulted refrigerant circulation pumping system, removed the old disconnect box, removed the compressor plug, installed the new refrigerant circulation pumping system, new disconnect, new 6, 1/2” whip, new power protection, new compressor plug, purged and pressure tested the system with nitrogen, added acid preventatives to the system and brought the system down to a proper vacuum. Once the system was in a vacuum below 500 microns we tested the vacuum and found it to be holding tight. We then recharged the system with 14 pounds of clean R410a refrigerant. We then pulled the system completely down and performed a deep chemical cleaning on the coil. Put the system back together and tested its operations. Found that everything is operating properly at this time.
Upon my arrival in Lockhart I spoke with the customer about the issues she was having with HVAC system. I performed the diagnostics and found the refrigerant circulator pumping system was faulted. I spoke with the customer about her different options for repair and she chose to go with HA5E. Upon my arrival in Lockhart I spoke with the customer about what was going to be performed in the heating evaluation today. I started by checking the emergency heat strips and found them operating properly. I the started to perform the evaluation to check the heat pump operations and going the system kept shutting off due to low pressure. I checked the reversing valve and made sure it was not stuck. Once I verified it was good I then checked out previous repair to verify it was not leaking. While I was checking the previous repair I found that the heat transfer media coil has a leak. I spoke with the customer about their different options for repair and they chose to go with HL1C. Customer is going to try and not run the system until we can return for the repair, they still have the downstairs system to keep them cooling.
Upon my arrival in Lockhart, I found that the main refrigerant pressure control system in the A/C unit is faulted. I spoke with the customers about their different options for repair and they chose HI2D and signed the upstairs system up on maintenance. Will need to schedule a day to return to perform the repair. 2 techs about 3-4 hours. Customer has family coming at the end of the month and is hoping that we can return before then and ask if I can be one of the techs that returns.
Upon my arrival in Lockhart, I found the A/C system icing over pretty quick when I was checking pressures. I checked the indoor unit for proper air flow and found that the indoor air movement system is faulted. I spoke with the customer about his different options for repair and he chose to go with HC6A. Also spoke with the customer about the importance of having surge protection on the indoor system and getting on our maintenance program. He is going to think about it and make his final decision when we call to schedule our return date. Customer would like to be as late in the afternoon as possible when we do return because he works in Austin and will need a day heads up so he can plan for leaving from work. If he can’t leave work he is willing to open his garage remotely and can also control the thermostat from his phone. I would like to be attracted back to this for the return if possible. Customer will be without ac until this is fixed. This is an attic furnace
